Hey everyone. I've been working on creating this red planet for the last few days, doing some touching up in photoshop trying to get little details right so it looks realistic. (Well, realistic to me anyway.) At the start I wanted to make it a little more "lived-in" but then I figured this bleak and vacant sci-fi look suits it better, but I may bring some more life to the next planet I work on. I drew a lot of inspiration on the colour scheme from Neon Genesis Evangelion, my all-time favourite anime (next to Michiko to Hatchin). But yeah this was really fun. I didn't follow any tutorial or use any pre-made textures or images to create this one like I normally might do with 3D objects or renders, so I'm especially proud of this piece and learned a lot on my own. I think I want to try to create a nebula next. Hope you guys like it!
